About Kate
As a qualified Nutritionist I have spent the last six years working within the food and nutrition industry in New Zealand in a variety of roles. Ready for a change from the corporate world, and excited about embracing two of my real passions in life I took over Yum Yum Kids.
Eating is something we all do, and we all know something about nutrition. The problem is that often there is a lot of conflicting information available and working out which information offers good advice and what should be treated with care can be a challenge.
If you are a parent or caregiver one of your important roles is to feed and nurture your child. Sometimes this proves difficult and it is seldom as easy as it sounds!
I love food and have an extensive understanding and genuine excitement for nutrition. This coupled with my own hands on experience as a nutritionist has given me first hand experience of the food challenges presented by kids, for parents in the pursuit of providing healthy, nutritionally balanced meals for children... that they actually eat!
At Yum Yum Kids, my commitment is to provide you with genuinely useful information and products that help make feeding your kids just that bit easier.
Our product range is selected based on its quality, individuality, usefulness, sometimes quirkiness, because I believe that the product can often make a genuine difference. A bit about Yum Yum Kids
Yum Yum Kids is a 100% New Zealand owned business started in the spring of 2007. Located in Sandringham, Auckland. Yum Yum is owned and operated by Kate Carter. As a qualified nutritionist Yum Yum Kids was inspired by a genuine love of food, and a desire to encourage and establish good eating habits and attitudes towards food from an early age.
What grew from this, is a small online business with a humble philosophy of providing great customer service, competitive pricing and the best quality genuine products, sourced from around the world.
