Satay Pork Meat Balls
Mince is one of the least expensive cuts of meat, and as it is quick and easy to work with it is great for those with little time or cooking experience. This simple flavour combination is very moreish, and can be made into patties for the barbeque or grill. It can also be fun to get the kids to help roll the balls - it doesn't matter what shape they are...they still taste just as good!!!
These also make great finger foods - just the right size for your little one to pick up and nibble on. Peanut butter can be introduced from six months of age assuming that there is no history of family allergies. Serves 4 - 6 Time to make: roughly 30 minutes Ingredients:Pork mince 500g lean (it works equally well with chicken mince, but not so well with beef mince as the flavour is too strong)1/2 - 1 cup of breadcrumbs (I just use the wholemeal store bought option), you can make your own using 2 slices of bread Garlic - 2 cloves crushed or minced Spring onions - 4 sliced (if you don't have this don't worry they work just as well without them) Soy sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons Peanut butter 3 tablespoons Sweet chilli sauce 1/4 cup fresh salad leaves pita bread, burger buns or just serve them on their own with a salad Method:
