Ideas for breakfast for 2 - 5 year olds  Little yoghurt girl.JPG

Are you tired of trying to come up with inventive ways to get your kids to eat breakfast everyday.  It can be really stressful when you know how important it is and the kids just won't conform!

Give some of these new breakfast ideas a go:

  • Porridge (1/2 cup), Blue Top Milk (1/2 cup) with a banana
  • Wheat biscuits (2 biscuits), Blue Top Milk (1/2 cup) and chopped up fruit (1/3 cup)
  • Toasted fruit bread (2 slices) with low fat cream cheese as a spread
  • Boiled egg (1 egg) with toast soldiers (2 slices)
  • Ham and pineapple toastie (2 slices of bread/1 toastie)
  • Bircher Muesli made with Blue Top Milk, yoghurt, grated apple and topped with blueberries...yummy!
  • Wholemeal pikelets with yoghurt and fresh fruit (1/3 cup)
  • Peanut butter and sliced banana on wholemeal toast
  • Wholemeal toast topped with cottage cheese and sliced tomato
  • A smoothie (liquid breakfast) made with Blue Top Milk (1/2 cup), yoghurt, (1/3 frozen berries), oats and almonds (6)
  • And a suggestion from one of our Mum's - "Something my daughter loves is yoghurt (usually strawberry flavoured but sometimes Greek in which case it needs honey too :) ) with rolled oats, coconut and LSA sprinkled on top.
